Frank Capra Award 2010
Film International is pleased to announce the official rules for its fourth annual Frank Capra Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Film Criticism.
Eligibility Guidelines This contest is open to any undergraduate student, currently enrolled at an institution of higher learning (or set to graduate in fall 2009 or spring 2010) worldwide and working towards a bachelor’s degree in any field. Residents of countries or states where such contests are restricted are ineligible; previous winners (but not those applicants who received honorable mentions) are not eligible for this or any future Frank Capra Award contest. Any original piece of written scholarship, previously unpublished and authored solely by the applicant, involving film criticism, history, or theory will be accepted. Submissions will be assessed by a panel of three judges—film studies academics/scholars from various institutions—and will undergo a blind peer review process, typical of scholarly journals.
